My first career was as a professional musician (for 20+ years). I had the opportunity to meet and work with some great musicians as well as travel around the world. I think the first time I wanted to become a drummer was watching my father, Lloyd Morales, backstage at the Showboat hotel in Las Vegas with the Les Brown Band of Renown. He was doing a drum solo with bright fluorescent orange-painted drum sticks under black lights (it was the 60s), which made his hands look like they were on fire.
My second career (and what I've been doing for the last 15 years) is being a webmaster/site manager. I started learning about web development on the road, in hotel rooms, with a 2400 baud modem. The next thing I knew, my wife Lorraine Feather, our 2 dogs and 2 cats were moving up to the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2006, we moved to the San Juan Islands where I design/host and maintain sites for some of my music friends as well as others.
The picture on the left is with my father, who was the first drummer in the family. That's me on his lap when we lived in Hollywood, California, where I was born.
Here's a cute puppy video of Brava & Sterling.
